Morphology
According to Planter and Forester (2019), licania tomentosa is a tree that can grow 10 up to 20 meters tall and has a diameter of 40-60 cm. This plant produces oval shaped fruit; its yellow seed has length and width of 8 cm and 4 cm. The fruit contains paper pulp has fibrous and single-seed.

Distribution & Habitat
Licania tomentosa Fritsch.(Benth.) comes from South America, namely Brazil, Guenia, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru and the Amazon region (Fritsch, 1889). This plant is widely cultivated in South Africa and Brazil.

Potential
The seeds contain a high level of antibacterial. In addition, this plant contains anticholinesterase, antioxidant, and polyphenol (Farias et al., 2013).

Usability
Licania tomentosa is widely used as an ornamental plant and as a shade plant. The fruit is commonly consumed directly by human and animal food. In addition, the seeds are widely processed into jam, jelly, or flour by the Brazilian people (Medeiros et al., 2020). The fruit is oval, smooth, with yellow seeds that contain thick fibrous pulp surrounding the seeds. The wood is heavy, hard, and durable usually used as a common construction materials, for external works such as post, railroad ties, and small ship (Planter and Forester, 2019).
